Chickens of the world unite!

Stand up and be counted! Easter has been taken over by that cute little fuzzy rascally wabbit. But who does all the hard work? Hours upon hours laying perfectly formed eggs. Making sure one end is slightly larger that the other, in exactly the right hue of egg shell white. Sure he decorates and delivers, but isn't that the fun part? I say bump that bunny from his throne, and take your place as the kings and queens of Easter!

A Bunnies Body.

Ever since I was very small I could remember a particular Christmas decoration that we set out every year. His name is Mr. Jingle and he is a fairly large type of knee hugger elf. I have always loved the different positions that his legs can be placed in .(One day I will see if I dig him out of his summer hibernation spot in the shed with the rest of the sleeping Christmas ornaments and snap a picture.) Anyway, I would rearrange his legs in all different ways and have such a great time. When I started making these small dolls the same thing came to mind. So most are made with a bendable knee and stitched together hands for lots of posing fun. Huggable knees are just cute for the elves to keep all to themselves.

There are Bunnies about!

I have been practicing with the paper mache clay and am getting a better feel for it. I just love the definition of the facial features that can be achieved. So in honor of warmer weather, no snow, and the approach of Easter. Bunnies!
